Rupert Jones is rightly regarded as one of the most experienced proceeds of crime practitioners in the UK. He has developed a reputation of excellence in the law of asset recovery and specialises in the civil aspects of asset forfeiture, restraint and receivership, whilst combining expertise in civil fraud and related areas such as tax, employment and commercial matters.

Rupert is one of the most reported juniors in this field in 2010. Cases he was involved in included the Court of Appeal matters of: AA and SA v R; [2010] EWCA Crim 2805; 29th November 2010; Bassaid v Munir [2010] EWCA Civ 1235; 13th October 2010; Larkfield Limited v Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office; Court of Appeal Civil Division; [2010] EWCA Civ 521 [12/5/10] (2010) 3 All ER 1173 : (2010) STC 1506; and Stephen Lamb v Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office; Court of Appeal Civil Division; [2010] EWCA Civ 285 [18/03/10] (2010) STC 1190.

Outside of the Bar, Rupert is a keen runner, recently completing the Puma Hellrunner 2010 ‘Hell Down South’ event.
