Ecclesiastical law is the law administered by the courts and other bodies of the Church of England. In a more general sense it means the law relating to any matter concerning the Church of England.
Members of Chambers who hold, or have held, appointments in the ecclesiastical courts include Nigel Seed QC, Graham Wood QC, and David Swinstead. Ian Partridge was counsel in an important recent case on liability for church repairs that went to the House of Lords.
