Members of the professional negligence and liability group generally offer expertise in all aspects of the law relating to professional negligence and liability.

We cover all fields of professional negligence law and all areas of the country. Most members of the group are members of the Professional Negligence Bar Association and many have written and lectured on this and related fields. The team covers the negligence of professions generally and the clerks will be able to advise you on the choice of the right barrister for your case.

David Parry, Peter Jennings, Gavin Hamilton, and Barry Stancombe have experience in cases involving brokers.

Peter Jennings has dealt with cases involving both insurance brokers and stockbrokers.

Gavin Hamilton has advised, and acted for and against, insurance brokers in claims for failure to implement cover, and for brokers in a claim to account for commission. He also has experience of disciplinary matters involving insurance brokers.

Barry Stancombe has experience of questions between high street brokers and the Lloyd’s Guaranteeing broker under the indemnity/guarantee agreement.
