Public and administrative law has been practised at 3 Paper Buildings for many years. During that time its importance and jurisdiction has expanded greatly and public law now takes on many guises and features in cases heard before specialist Tribunals, Magistrates’ Courts, Crown and County Courts, the High Court and beyond.
Here at 3PB we have constantly strived to meet the challenges and changes that this area of the law has brought about.
Such is the breadth of the work that we undertake, we have taken a conscious decision to offer truly specialist practitioners in particular areas of what can be broadly be described as administrative law, although some of those areas cross the border between the civil and criminal law jurisdictions. Public & regulatory law is of ever increasing importance and crosses the boundary between civil and criminal law. Members of the group provide expertise across a wide range of legal fields in this area including:
Members of Chambers have been instructed in some of the leading recent cases in their areas and provide advice on policy issues to local authorities and other public bodies. Many combine their public law practices with other specialisms and so are able to offer a wide range of expertise and experience to both private and public body clients.
