What is a Barristers Chambers?3 Paper Buildings is not a firm or a company or a legal entity. Barristers practise as self-employed individuals. Every barrister in the country is in competition with every other barrister. However for practical reasons we need to share overheads and resources. So for several centuries barristers have formed co-operative associations known as 'chambers'. 3 Paper Buildings is one of the largest and oldest of these chambers. Legal adviceMembers of chambers, as individual lawyers, may only give advice to a particular person on a specific matter or case if instructed to do so by an appropriately qualified person. Although this site contains some general legal guidance, you must not rely on it as advice for any particular case. If you want legal advice that you can rely on, you must instruct a lawyer to advise properly.
