Alex has experience of dealing with a variety of commercial matters in both the County Court and High Court. He is willing to accept instructions across the broad spectrum of commercial work including the following areas:

Recent examples of his work include: 

• Enforcement of a charging order before a High Court Chancery Master in proceedings which included arguments concerning the application of sections 14 and 15 of the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.

• Advising on liability and quantum for a breach of contract claim against a Higher Education Institution.
• Drafting particulars of claim and defences in breach of contract claims.
• Application to set aside a statutory demand in insolvency proceedings.
• Trials concerning compliance with the mandatory provisions found in Part V of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
• Trials concerning the enforceability of contracts in light of the Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumer’s Home or Place of Work etc. Regulations 2008.
• Small claims and fast track credit hire trials.
