Christopher is a commercial and chancery practitioner, regularly appearing in the High Court and county courts. He also has a busy paper-based practice, and has extensive experience of both advising in conference and on paper, and of drafting pleadings.

Christopher undertakes work in the following areas:

• Banking Law: guarantees and indemnities; mis-selling of financial products; professional negligence
• Commercial Litigation: debt recovery, sale of goods, supply of services, general contractual disputes, construction of contracts, agency, guarantees and indemnities, consumer credit agreements.
• Corporate Insolvency & Company law: winding-up petitions, advising on application to restore company to the register, unfair prejudice petitions.
• Landlord and Tenant: commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes, possession hearings, rent arrears and service charges.
• Licensing: alcohol licensing, public transport licensing, taxi licensing
• Personal Insolvency: bankruptcy petitions, applications to set aside statutory demands.
• Probate and Inheritance: interpretation of wills, challenging wills, administration of estates, claims under Inheritance Act 1974, claims against personal representatives.
• Property: boundary disputes, nuisance, trespass, easements, mortgages.
• Trusts: applications for sale, determination of beneficial interests.

Christopher is willing to act on a conditional fee basis in appropriate cases.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Christopher worked and volunteered for NGO’s, in both the United Kingdom and Cambodia, focussing on issues relating to governance and the rule of law.
