Gavin has experience of national and international sale of goods cases in the High and County Court. He has also been instructed in an ICC arbitration in Greece.

Insurance
Gavin has acted in fire claims against insurers, professional negligence claims against insurance brokers and is frequently asked to advise on policy points concerning non-disclosure and breach of warranty.

Many types of partnership disputes arise and Gavin has experience of acting in disputes concerning accountants, solicitors, doctors and farmers.

Gavin has dealt with claims for and against financial advisers, arising out of both fraud and negligence.

This is the main area of Gavin’s practice.

Solicitors
He regularly handles claims for and against firms of solicitors concerning mishandled litigation, conveyancing, matrimonial proceedings, business sales and probate matters.

Gavin has dealt with claims against surveyors for negligent surveys and overvaluations of property and also in connection with rent reviews.

He has experience of acting for and against accountants, mainly in relation to tax advice.

Gavin has acted in several domestic arbitrations.

He has appeared at many mediations and has also assisted in drafting mediation statements.
