Gavin has acquired considerable expertise in construction related professional liability claims, in particular concerning architects, structural engineers and surveyors.

He has also been involved in many contractual disputes between employer and contractor arising out of construction projects and in disputes with insurers arising out of building defects, advising and acting in litigation and mediation. As part of his wider property-related practice, he has also been instructed in landlord and tenant and disputes concerning the Party Wall Etc. Act 1996. He has been involved in many cases in the TCC that have gone to trial.
