Wide experience in the contractual aspects of holiday contracts, including the application of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.

Advised on issues such as:

When precisely the contract was formed;

What the terms of the contract were;

Liability of tour operators and hotels;

Previous interesting and unusual case of a holiday purchased at a charity auction could be rescinded following a change of mind by the successful bidder.

Hala has dealt with the application of the Carriage by Air Act 1961 (which brought into force the International Carriage by Air Conventions) in relation to personal injury and damage to personal belongings on air flights.
