Hugh undertakes all aspects of personal injury work including employers' liability, occupiers' liability, public liability, road traffic accidents (including LVI and fraudulent claims), credit hire claims and criminal injuries compensation claims. His practice also includes costs including detailed assessments, summary assessments and technical arguments.

In addition, he accepts instructions to represent interested parties at Coroner's Inquests.

Hugh acts for both Claimants and Defendants, advising on quantum, liability and evidence, as well as drafting pleadings and other documents. He appears in court at all stages of fast and multi-track litigation, from pre-action applications through to trials and appeals.

Hugh is willing to accept instructions on a conditional fee basis where appropriate.
