Katherine has a keen interest in this area and has assisted members of Chambers drafting advices on Special Educational Needs appeals for Local Education Authorities.
She gained valuable experience whilst clerking on Education Appeals for a number of County Councils, advising to the application law and procedure. Katherine is currently training to become a representative for the charity IPEA.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Katherine successfully undertook a number of Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeals, representing clients on behalf of the Free Representation Unit. In one of her cases her client was awarded £56,700 after being originally offered £6,000.
