Clinical negligence

Prior to coming to the Bar Naomi worked at Kingsley Napley within their leading clinical negligence team where she gained a sound and practical grounding in practice and procedure of clinical negligence claims.

Naomi had the opportunity of assisting with cases involving:

• Birth Injuries (involving a multi-million pound settlement)
• Failure to diagnose ( e.g. meningitis leading to brain injury of a young child)
• Spinal injuries (e.g. involving negligent and unnecessary spinal surgery)

Naomi’s interest in clinical negligence has continued through her practice at the Bar and she welcomes instructions in all aspects of clinical negligence, she holds a particularly keen interest in claims arising out of emergency medicine.

As with her personal injury practice, Naomi is frequently called upon to draft, advise and undertake all forms of advocacy from the County Court to the High Court.

In conjunction with her Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury practice, Naomi has wide experience of representing and advising interested parties at inquests in the Coroner’s Court.

Naomi’s commitment to clinical negligence and medical law is demonstrated by her membership of AvMA (Action against Medical Accidents) and her inclusion in their panel of barristers.

Naomi acts for both Claimants and Defendants in a strong personal injury practice. She is regularly instructed to advise, draft and advocate on liability, quantum and procedural issues in fast track and multi-track work
