Richard is an experienced personal injury specialist with a developing practice in clinical negligence. Richard has advised and represented parties in hundreds of cases from low value road traffic matters to multi-track cases worth over £100,000. He has experience conducting conferences with experts and has successfully cross-examined pathologists, orthopaedic surgeons and other consultants in cases ranging from low value claims to fatal accidents. Recent unusual clinical negligence cases have included a dispute arising from serious burns caused by medical procedure negligently performed and a case involving a failed hair removal procedure, leading to permanent scarring.
Richard Wheeler acts for both Claimants and Defendants in personal injury claims on the fast and multi track. He has notable experience in all the main aspects of liability and medical causation including cross-examination of experts. He has been instructed in related inquests. A recent notable case involved serious myofascial pain syndrome and chronic pain to a child. Accepts instructions under CFA.
