Robert Grey specialises in criminal law with an emphasis on very serious sex, drugs and fraud cases. He both prosecutes and defends. His defence practice in particular has taken him all over the country, where he has appeared in many high profile cases, some of which have gone on to become established Court of Appeal authorities.
Robert is also a specialist in confiscation and proceeds of crime, and is a member of the Proceeds of Crime Group in Chambers. He lectures in criminal law for CPD purposes, and is chairman of the 3PB Bournemouth criminal law group.
When not appearing in the criminal courts, Robert has a particular interest in contract/sale of goods/limitation actions. In respect of the latter, he conducted the case for the claimant at all levels in the seminal leading House of Lords authority of Stubbings v Webb [1993] AC 498.
