Commercial & Business

Victoria joined 3PB in 2009. She has a broad-based commercial practice with an emphasis upon Intellectual Property having previously practised at a leading IP set and worked at a boutique media law firm. Her work in this area covers all aspects of copyright, trade marks, designs, passing off, and breach of confidence actions. She has extensive experience in the High Court, County Court and Trade Marks Registry including applications for interim injunctions and other forms of interlocutory relief. Victoria has recently been involved in advising major organisations in the film and music industries in relation to online copyright infringement and has advised and represented many other major organisations including well known cosmetic companies, fashion labels, and publishers in relation to their IPRs.

Other areas of Victoria's practice include insolvency (both corporate and personal), contract, company law (including directors duties). Victoria has frequently appeared in the Companies Court on petitions for the winding up of companies, and before Bankruptcy Registrars in the High Court and District Judges in County Courts on personal insolvency matters including bankruptcy petitions and applications by trustees in bankruptcy for orders for possession and sale of property. She regularly advises and represents clients in contractual disputes and has been involved in multi-million Euro International arbitrations concerning ownership of shares/contractual disputes.

Speaking

Victoria has been a tutor on the commercial option of the Bar Vocational Course at Nottingham law school, and frequently speaks at commercially organised seminars/lectures.
